Event recap
Coimbatore hackathon recap: a smooth builder day at Nuevo Pixels
The Coimbatore room moved quickly because Nuevo Pixels already felt like a place where people make and show work.
The Coimbatore kickoff did exactly what an opening room should do. People stopped waiting for perfect clarity and started building with the clarity they had.
Nuevo Pixels was the right host for that. As a Coimbatore institute known for animation, VFX, gaming, graphic design, UI/UX, and web development training, it already had the right atmosphere for a practical builder room.
Why the day ran smoothly
The crowd had a healthy mix. Some people already had a stronger build instinct. Some were entering this kind of room for the first time. The format held both groups without turning the room into a lecture or a chaos spiral.
We kept pulling people toward visible progress:
- tighter scopes
- clearer problem statements
- rough but real demos
- less vague AI talk
- more explanation of what the thing was supposed to do
What we are carrying into Chennai
The biggest reminder from Coimbatore was that hosting quality matters. A good venue changes attention span, confidence, and how long people stay in the work.
That lesson carries directly into Chennai, where Zoho Community is sponsoring the next room. We want the same thing there: less posturing, more proof.
We also posted about the day on Instagram at @2bft.in, because the sprint is meant to live across the site and the social trail together.
Open call for future hosts
If you are a school, college, incubator, or community that wants to host a future 2BFT hackathon, builder day, or workshop, we are open to collaborating. The format can be shaped to the room, but the goal stays the same: people should leave with clearer ideas and something visible to show.
